Siddharth Anand's aerial action drama, Fighter, is gearing up for a grand Republic Day 2024 eve release. The trailer of the film was high on patriotism. While fans loved the adrenaline-pumping action and thrilling story, a few Pakistani actors objected. Hania Aamir shared a cryptic post, allegedly slamming Fighter for categorising Pakistanis as terrorists.
Hania wrote, "So sad and unfortunate to know that there are artists out there in this day and age who are aware of the power that the cinema holds and still go ahead and feed the riff between the two countries. I feel sorry for the artists who try to bridge the gap by trusting their art as a medium." A netizen claimed that her note was an indirect dig at Fighter.

After the note went viral, Siddharth reacted to the same and tweeted, "Oh."
