Recently the reports of Saif Ali Khan being hospitalized after getting an injury during the shoot of his upcoming film Devara surfaced. Now, the actor has stated about the same. Saif said, "This injury and the surgery that followed is a part of the wear and tear of what we do. I am very happy to be in such amazing surgical hands and thank all well-wishers for their love and concern." 

Apparently, the cause for the surgery has been an old injury that got triggered while performing an action sequence which resulted in a tricep surgery. The actor is currently admitted at Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. 

This is not the first time that the actor suffered an injury during the shoot. He was previously spotted in bandages while shooting for Rangoon (2017) which also had Kangana Ranaut and Imran Khan alongside the actor. Saif had to undergo the surgery too after getting injured in the action sequence. 

His upcoming film Devara in which he will portray the role of antagonist 'Bahira' will also feature Jr NTR and Janhvi Kapoor. The film is slated to release on April 5.
