Black magic and superstition are concepts that are still prevalent in several parts of the country. With black magic practitioners around, the air of mystery remains intact. No matter where you live, superstitious beliefs form an important part of a person's thought process. Tapping into this space, Ajay Devgn brings to the audience a dark, supernatural thriller. Titled Shaitaan, the film also stars R Madhavan and Jyotika. It is the official Hindi remake of the 2023 Gujarati film, Vash. Janki Bodiwala, who starred in the original version, makes her Hindi debut with the Vikas Bahl directorial. 

The teaser of Shaitaan has been released. Though not much about the story was disclosed, it did create an atmosphere of intrigue. There's a voodoo doll, a graphic representation of satan, burning candles, a dimly lit room and a lot of enigma. The Shaitaan teaser introduces the characters. A heart-thumping background score adds more weight to the narrative. While Ajay and Jyotika's faces were revealed, Madhavan's diabolic smile has the potential to send a shiver down the spine. A monologue is used as the voiceover and that is one of the major highlights. 

Presented by Jio Studios, Devgn Films and Panorama Studios, Shaitaan is produced by Ajay Devgn, Jyoti Deshpande, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. It is set to theatrically release on March 8.
