Akshay Kumar joined the list of actors who played the role of Lord Shiva in films and television shows with Oh My God 2 in 2023. The superstar brought Mahadev's virtues and values alive on the big screen and impressed all. According to Hinduism, Monday is considered to be an auspicious day to worship Lord Shiva. Giving Shiv devotees a surprise, Akshay released his latest music video and offered prayers. 

The music video titled Shambhu released this morning on social media. It featured Akshay in the lead. The superstar sported dreadlocks with a man bun. His look comprised of chest and arm tattoos. The actor wore flowy clothes and flaunted his chiselled abs. 

While Akshay is the face of Shambhu, he has also lent his vocals to the song with Sudhir Yaduvanshi, and Vikram Montrose. The lyrics are penned by Abhinav Shekhar whereas the song is composed by Vikram Montrose. 

In a statement, Akshay Kumar expressed, "Shambhu comes from a deep place in my heart that has only been beating with the name Jai Shri Mahakaal! For the longest time I have been a Shiva bhakt but lately, my connection with him and devotion towards him has only become deeper.
