Shah Rukh Khan surprised his fans last year with the 3 releases one after another. Starting with Pathan in January followed by Jawan in September and Dunki in December 2024. As the actor recently graced the event of World Government Summit 2024 that took place in Dubai, he spoke about working in Hollywood highlighting that he has never been offered good films to do.

Shah Rukh further also added that he was offered a role in the film Slumdog Millionaire by Danny Boyle but refused it which was later taken by Anil Kapoor. The actor at the same time was also hosting the show Kaun Banega Crorepati and felt like it was some sort of cheating if he would take on the role. Shah Rukh said, "Yes, Slumdog was there, and I spent a lot of time with Mr Boyle. He was very sweet. But I was doing Who Wants to be a Millionaire on television, but I just felt that in the story being told, the guy who was hosting was very mean. The guys who were producing the show wanted me to do the film. But the character was cheating and being dishonest as the host, I found that very strange, and I explained to Mr Boyle that I wouldn’t like to do it, please, and there are way better actors than me. Mr Anil Kapoor did it, and he was fantastic as the host."
