Kavita Chaudhary, the actor, writer and director of the iconic show, Udaan, breathed her last at the age of 67. The actress was suffering from cancer and was in the hospital for the past few days, stated reports.
The news of her demise was confirmed by Kavita's nephew Ajay Sayal to Indian Express. She passed away in Amritsar this morning due to a cardiac arrest. "She died due to cardiac arrest on Thursday at 8.30 pm. She breathed her last at Parvati Devi Hospital in Amritsar where she was being treated," Ajay said.
The 1989 show, Udaan, paid an ode to police officers. Kavita played the role of an IPS officer named Kalyani Singh. It aired on Doordarshan. Apart from Udaan, Kavita was popularly known as Lalitaji from Surf ads in the 1980s and 1990s.
