Dharma Productions' upcoming film, Yodha, is soaring high on positive response from the audience. A fictional tale of a plane hijack, it presents Sidharth Malhotra as an action hero on a mission to rescue passengers. Karan Johar and his team of creative force at Dharma Productions are leaving no stone unturned in giving the audience the experience of a lifetime. Last month, Yodha became the first Hindi film to get a poster launch at 13,000ft.
Setting new records, Dharma Productions flew a bunch of journalists and paparazzi to Ahmedabad for Yodha's trailer launch. While it was expected to be a regular affair, the makers surprised everyone on board with a mid-air trailer drop. Leaving journalists delighted with the unique and out-of-the-box premiere of Yodha's trailer, a special gift [a tab] was given to the passengers on the charter flight to exclusively watch the adrenaline-pumping video in the presence of Karan, Apoorva Mehta, Sidharth Malhotra, Disha Patani, Raashii Khanna and directors Pushkar Ojha and Sagar Ambre.
Adding a Dharma touch to it, the password to access the trailer was 1980, which was also the year of the production house's birth. Karan quipped, "If we do 1980 at the box office, we'll be very happy," and a peal of laughter erupted naturally from those present on board.
After the spectacular mid-air trailer launch, the Mumbai media united with journalists and fans from Ahmedabad for an insightful and fun press conference at a theatre in the heart of the city. Post the interaction, the production house treated the guests with delicious Gujarati thali before bidding adieu.
Yodha releases in theatres across the globe on March 15.
