Ankita Lokhande has been all over the headlines after she entered the reality show Bigg Boss season 17 last year alongside her husband Vicky Jain. Despite not making it to the trophy, the actress managed to be in the limelight throughout the show for which she received mixed responses from the audience.

Now, Ankita would be next seen opposite Randeep Hooda in Swatantrya Veer Savarkar which the actor is also producing. In a recent interview, the actress opened up about how Randeep felt she was ‘too pretty’ to essay her character in the film.

Ankita said, "Randeep Hooda told me, 'I don't think I want you in the film'. I was like, why? He was like, 'You are too pretty for the character'. I was like, 'Please don't say that'."

She further added, "He (Randeep) had done so much research, he was so sure about what he wanted in the film, he knew everything about what she
(Yamunabai Savarkar) was like.”

The film will portray Ankita in the role of Yamunabai Savarkar who is the wife of the Vinayak Damodar Savarkar which will be portrayed by Randeep.
