Rakul Preet and Jackky Bhagnani have been all over the headlines recently as they tied the knot in a dreamy wedding on February 21 in an intimate ceremony surrounded by close friends and family. 

In a recent interview, the actress revealed about the first meeting that took place between Jackky and her father who is a retired officer of
the Indian Army.

Sharing about the same, she said that her father asked straight forward questions and was later impressed by Jackky.

The actress said, "Then we were having lunch and my dad
asked him what his plan was. He started with
plans for his next release Mission Raniganj. My
dad just said, 'work and all is good, but what is
your plan with my daughter?' My food got
stuck in my throat.”

She further added, "The
funniest thing was that he just took it very well
and said, 'whenever she is ready, I am ready.'
And that was it, my father became a fan."

Rakul and Jackky have dated for a couple of years before. The duo announced their relationship in October 2021 with a birthday post. Later, they have often been spotted together at several occasions.
