Her recent statement sparked a buzz across the media. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the remaining cast of the film.
Amid rumours of Kareena's casting in Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups, the producers- KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations- issued a statement urging people to avoid making any assumption regarding the film's casting.
The statement read, "There are many unsubstantiated theories and information doing rounds about the casting of Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups. We truly appreciate the excitement around Toxic, but at this point, we would request everyone to refrain from speculation. The casting process for the film is near completion, and we are thrilled with the team we have onboard. As we gear up to bring this story to life, we request everyone to wait for the official announcements."
The rumour sparked after Kareena said in an interview, "As I mentioned earlier, I might be taking on a significant project in the South. Given its Pan-India appeal, I'm uncertain about the shooting location, but I'm thrilled to share with all my fans that it will mark my debut in this domain."
Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups is under the direction of Geetu Mohandas and is co-produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations. The film is slated for theatrical release on April 10, 2025.
