Jaya Bachchan recently graced the first episode of her granddaughter’s podcast What The Hell Navya, alongside her daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda.

During the episode, both discussed how their parenting styles vary. 

Shweta went on to share that she doesn’t have much patience and often gets into fights with her children. 

However, Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan had a different approach. She also admitted that they were far more protective compared to her.

She said, "Oh okay,
this is something that greatly disturbed my
child and that's why now today I'm fighting
with them in this way and they are not wrong.” 

Further, Jaya added,  "Shweta, we were more
protective because we didn't know any better.
That's what we were taught, that's how we
were brought up. You (Navya) have been
brought up differently and you will bring up
your children even more differently."
