Abhishek Varman's directorial 'Kalank' completed 5 years from its release yesterday. Starring Varn Dhawan, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kiara Advani, the film has received mixed reviews from the audience despite being highly appreciated for its songs before the release and the performances by the actors after it.
  
Karan Johar, who turned the producer for the film alongside Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Johar and Sajid Nadiadwala however recently went on to celebrate the 5 years completion of the film and noted that a lot of hard work went into it despite its outcome as the box office debacle.
  
Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan wrote, "5 years to a film that will always be special to me in so many ways!! Proud of the blood, sweat and tears that went into the telling of the story by Abhishek..Some films are beyond results they live on with visuals, soul and music! Kalank will always be that film to us at Dharma! #5yearstoKalank. "

The film revolved around the lives of six different individuals who had to deal with the challenging aspects of love, betrayal, revenge and depression.
