Sarfarosh 2 should be made: Aamir Khan at the film's 25th anniversary celebration

Naseeruddin Shah, Aamir Khan and Sonali Bendre's classic film, Sarfarosh, completed 25 years on April 30. Marking the occasion, the team organised a special screening yesterday at a suburban theatre in Mumbai. The cast gathered under one roof to celebrate the film's 25th anniversary. During the event, Aamir opened up about the possibility of Sarfarosh's sequel.

Addressing the audience, Aamir said, "I can commit about one thing, that we will definitely give it a really serious shot now of coming up with the right script and a right kind of film for it. So John you will have to get to work here." He added, "Sarfarosh 2 banni chaiye (Sarfarosh 2 should be made) even I feel that."

Sarfarosh was directed by John Matthew Matthan. It won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The film was centered around India-Pakistan conflict and terrorism. Assistant Commissioner of Police Ajay Singh Rathod (Aamir Khan) was pitted against Gulfam Hassan (Naseeruddin Shah).
