The Madhya Pradesh High Court reportedly sent a notice to Kareena Kapoor Khan for using the word ‘Bible’ in the title of her book, ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible.' According to NDTV's report, the notice was issued after Christopher Anthony, an advocate, objected to the book title and demanded a ban.
As per reports, Christopher claimed in his petition that the use of ‘Bible’ in Kareena’s book’s title is hurtful to the sentiments of the Christian community. The advocate reportedly accused the actress of attempting to gain 'cheap publicity' for her book by using the term which holds religious importance to the community. In his petition, he said, "Bible is the holy book of Christianity all over the world and it is wrong to compare Kareena Kapoor Khan’s pregnancy with the Bible."
A single-judge bench of Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia issued the notice. Apart from Kareena, the notice has also been issued to the sellers of the books. The actress and her legal team are yet to react to the same.
Christopher reportedly approached the police to file an FIR against Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible. When the cops refused to file his complaint, the advocate moved to the lower court. After facing rejection from the lower court, he knocked the door of the Additional Sessions Court but it was yet again dismissed.
Kareena announced her book, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible, on the occasion of her elder son Taimur Ali Khan's 4th birthday in 2020. She was pregnant with her second child, Jeh. The book released in 2021.
