Sanjay Kapoor on losing out on No Entry: Brother Boney Kapoor cast Fardeen Khan

In an open interview, Sanjay Kapoor, renowned actor and brother to Bollywood stalwarts Anil Kapoor and Boney Kapoor, reflected on the challenges he faced in his career, despite his illustrious family background. Kapoor revealed how he missed out on a potential role in the hit film 'No Entry', produced by his brother Boney Kapoor and starring Anil Kapoor, due to casting decisions based on commercial viability.

During a conversation with Shivani Pau for her podcast, Kapoor disclosed that he believed he could have played the part essayed by Fardeen Khan in 'No Entry'. However, Kapoor stated that his brother Boney Kapoor opted for Khan instead, citing Khan's perceived marketability at the time.

Expressing his disappointment, Kapoor disclosed that he hadn't been cast in any of his brother's productions for the past two decades. Despite acknowledging the familial love, Kapoor emphasized the business aspect of the industry, indicating that decisions were often driven by commercial considerations.

Despite these setbacks, Kapoor recently appeared in two notable films: Sriram Raghavan’s 'Merry Christmas', alongside Katrina Kaif and Vijay Sethupathi, and Homi Adjania’s 'Murder Mubarak'.

Kapoor's revelations shed light on the complexities and challenges within the Bollywood industry, highlighting the delicate balance between familial relationships and professional considerations.
