Sonakshi Sinha recently starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ for which she has been receiving much praise from the audience.

The series also stars Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sanjeeda Sheikh in the lead and released on May 1 on Netflix where it’s currently streaming.

In a recent interview, Sonakshi talked about pay disparity which is being highly highlighted in the industry over the last few days and also mentioned that she does fight for the money as she believes she should be paid the deserving amount.

The actress said,  "It's not easy and it doesn't feel right sometimes. When filmmakers approach you, they know that you bring something to the table. But when it comes to the money conversation, everybody just wants an actress, particularly to reduce her fee.” 

She further added,  “We're fighting too many battles anyway. So, this fight for remuneration is just one of them. “
