Paresh Rawal suggests punishment for those who don't vote: There should be an increase in tax

The fifth phase of the Lok Sabha 2024 elections took place today. 49 constituencies across six states and two Union Territories cast their votes. This phase of the general elections started at 7 am and will end at 6 pm. Bollywood celebrities exercised their right by visiting the designated poll booths. Paresh Rawal, who has been vocal about politics, urged people to step out and make their voices heard.

After casting his vote in Mumbai, Paresh interacted with the media and explained the importance of voting. He said, "Then you will say, government doesn't do this, doesn't do that... If you will not vote today, then you will be responsible, not the government."

He further slammed those who don't vote. The veteran actor added, "There should be some provisions for those who don't vote, like an increase in tax or some other punishment."

Celebrities like Akshay Kumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Sanya Malhotra and several others stepped out to vote today.
