Chhaya Kadam, who wowed the audience with her versatility in Laapataa Ladies and Madgaon Express, made her Cannes Film Festival debut. The actress reached the French Riviera with her Malayalam film, All We Imagine As Light. Honouring her mother, Chhaya paid an emotional tribute by wearing her saree and traditional Maharashtrian nath to the festival.
Sharing pictures from the French Riviera, where the Cannes Film Festival 2024 is taking place, Chhaya remembered her late mother. Penning a heartwarming note, the actress wrote in Marathi, "My dream of taking you on a flight remained unfulfilled....but today I am content that I brought your saree and nose ring to the Cannes Film Festival by flight. Still mom! You were needed today. To see it all. Love you Mom, and miss you very much."
Chhaya played the role of Manju Maai in Kiran Rao-directed Laapataa Ladies. The actress took the acting bar to the next level with her performance as Kanchan Kombdi in Kunal Kemmu's Madgaon Express.
