Ranveer Singh was set to star in the mythological-based period drama 'Rakshas', directed by Prasanth Varma and produced by Mythri Productions. The project, officially confirmed by the makers, promised an unprecedented spectacle. However, in a surprising turn of events, Singh has reportedly decided to walk out of the film.
A source revealed to Bollywood Hungama that Ranveer realized during the promo shoot in Hyderabad that his vision did not align with the South Cinema filmmaking style. He returned to Mumbai ahead of schedule, citing personal issues, and subsequently informed the producers of his decision to step back. The news came as a shock to the makers, who were preparing for a grand launch and had already invested significantly in the promo shoot and pre-production.
Despite efforts to reconcile, a source close to Ranveer confirmed that he has made up his mind to move on from the project.
