Preity Zinta shines at Cannes Red Carpet in stunning pink saree: Simple yet with a little bit of sparkle

As the 77th Cannes Film Festival prepares to lower its curtain, Bollywood star Preity Zinta made a splash on the prestigious event's red carpet. She dazzled in a pink-coloured, embellished saree designed by Seema Gujral, arriving for the screening of the film 'La Plus Precieuse des Marchandises' (The Most Precious of Cargoes).

Preity described her look as "simple yet with a little bit of sparkle" and expressed her excitement about being at the Cannes Film Festival after a long time. "It's wonderful to be here after a long time. I am excited to be here," she told Brut India. Adding to the charm of the evening, Preity took selfies with fans on the red carpet, showcasing her approachable and warm personality.

Earlier, Preity shared another glamorous look as she attended the gala event in the South of France. She posed for a photoshoot by the riverside, later sharing the pictures on social media with the caption, "Oh Cannes, so happy to be back," accompanied by a heart emoji. The 'Koi Mil Gaya' star looked gorgeous in a white pearl gown.

Preity is attending Cannes to present the Pierre Angenieux ExcelLens in Cinematography award to DOP Santosh Sivan. She has previously collaborated with Sivan in Mani Ratnam's film 'Dil Se,' alongside Shah Rukh Khan, and will reunite with him in Rajkumar Santoshi's upcoming period drama 'Lahore 1947.'

Speaking to DD India on the sidelines of the festival, Preity elaborated on her six-year break from movies. She highlighted the importance of focusing on personal life and the impact of a biological clock on women. "I didn't want to do a film. I was focusing on business, I wanted to focus on my personal life. People forget that for women, as actors, your craft is important, you want a body of work, but you have a biological clock," she explained.

Preity departed for Cannes on Wednesday, with a video from the airport capturing her hugging her husband Gene Goodenough before her departure.

Preity Zinta made her Cannes debut in 2006 and later returned to the festival as a brand ambassador for a watch brand. Her return to Cannes marks another memorable moment in her illustrious career.
