Aditi Rao Hydari on attending Cannes Film Festival: It is an opportunity to redefine beauty standards, celebrate inclusivity on a global stage

Aditi Rao Hydari attended the prestigious Cannes Film Festival earlier this month and in an interview, spoke about the importance it carries for her.

The actress, who starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web-series debut 'Heeramandi: the Diamond Bazaar' for which she has been getting much praise from the audience, said,“Through my presence in Cannes, I aim to contribute to the perception of Indian cinema beyond the conventional narratives. I want to do my bit in highlighting the depth and diversity of our storytelling, the talent of our filmmakers, and the beauty of our diverse landscapes and cultures."

She further added, " Additionally, as a brand spokesperson of the beauty brand, I see it as an opportunity to redefine beauty standards and celebrate inclusivity on a global stage."

It's not the first time, Aditi graced the event and has previously been invited for it.

Throughout her visit she also kept her followers updated as she shared the glimpses on her social media.
  
On the work front, Aditi's 'Heeramandi: the Diamond Bazaar' released on May 1 and is streaming on Netflix.

 It also stars Manisha Koirala, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Sharmin Seygal, Richa Chadha and Sonakshi Sinha.
