Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’ released on May 31 and is already performing notably at the box office.
Having collected over Rs 11 crore in just 2 days, the film is set to achiever greater heights considering its growth in just a day.
The audience also been praising the chemistry of Janhvi and Rajkummar in the film.
However, in one of the previous interviews, Janhvi said she wouldn’t want to star opposite the actor.
Recently, the actress addressed the same and revealed that it was just a part of the promotion and an easier to way to get the headlines.
She said, “They (media) are always looking for a scandalous headline.”
She added, “So I thought the statement would make for a great headline and help promote the film. But I also explained why I said I didn’t want to work with him again. I feel he is a very guni actor. Unke saath kaam karke yeh ehsaas hota hai ki hum kitne nausikhya hai.”
Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film follows the story of a couple who discover their love for the cricket.
Following, Rajkummar tries to prepare Janhvi to represent the country in the tour however things don’t go as smooth as expected. Resulting in conflicts and confrontations between the duo.
The filmmaker also mentioned in a previous interview how he wanted to be ‘authentic’ while making the film and that he has been having the thought of making a project around the cricket for a long time.
Besides, Rajkummar recently had a release ‘Srikanth’ which was a biopic of the industrialist and also performed well.
The actor also got lauded for his performance by the colleagues from the industry.
On the other side, Janhvi has been shooting for her upcoming film ‘Devara: Part 1’ which will also star Saif Ali Khan and Jr. NTR in the lead.
