Jaideep Ahlawat has proven his talent with the commendable performances he has been delivering over the years. 

Having been a part of films like 'Raazi' and 'Commando-A One Man Army', the actor most recently appeared opposite Kareena Kapoor Khan and Vijay Verma in Sujoy Ghosh's directorial 'Jaane Jaan' which released on Netflix last year.

In a recent interview, the actor was asked to comment on the hot topic of nepotism in the industry. 

Although the talks of it been there for decades, over the last few years the debates revolving around the star kids taking over the industry have been on a peak.

However, Jaideep shared his thoughts of not feeling overshadowed by this. 

He even insisted that one must be authentic to oneself and not try to become like someone else.

Also mentioning that he didn't come in the field to become like some other actor. 

Further giving the examples of the actors like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, who often become an easy target when the talks about nepotism arise.

He said, “Wo Ranbir Kapoor hai, aur kisi ko gumaan ho ki wo sirf star kid hai isiliye acha actor hai is brahm me mat rehna."

The actor further added, “Wo bahar se bhi aata na tab bhi wo Ranbir Kapoor banta."

He concluded, “Main dusra Ranbir Kapoor nahi hu, main pehla Jaideep Ahlawat hu.”

Jaideep will next appear in 'Maharaj' which will also star Aamir Khan's son Junaid Khan, who is making his acting debut with the project. It is directed by Malhotra P. Siddharth and is set to release on June 14.
