Mona Singh, Sharvari and Abhay Verma's Munjya is about to begin his search for his 'Munni' on June 7 only in theatres across the globe. The film introduces India's first CGI actor who is joining Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films-backed Horror-Comedy Universe. Amid high anticipation, Munjya promises to be an unexpected journey into the wilderness of Konkan. Aditya Sarpotdar is the director of this horror-comedy.
As the countdown for Munjya begins, netizens have come up with their unique theories related to the film. A section of people on social media drew parallels between Munjya and Maddock Films' next horror-comedy, Stree 2. The latter stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee.
Netizens expressed their feelings and thoughts regarding Munjya and Stree 2 on X, formerly known as Twitter. Many felt that there's a strong connection between Munjya and Stree, who could potentially be his 'Munni'. Is Shraddha the mysterious 'Munni' in town? While the suspense remains intact till June 7, it would be interesting to have this crossover!
Stree, released in 2018, was a box-office success. The sequel is scheduled to release on August 31. In an interview with Times Of India, Abhishek opened up about Stree and said, "Stree 2 is also going to be bigger and double the kind of fun. All the actors are skin deep into their characters. I had a lot of fun with Apar (Aparshakti Khurana) and Shraddha. It was a reunion of sorts. I was telling my co-actors ki for me it was more of nostalgia as we landed up in the galiyas of Chanderi. It was my first film. And first times are always special."
He further added, "We are working on the post-production of the film. The VFX will take a lot of time. The director of the film Amar Kaushik is a perfectionist. He works on the film till the time he isn't happy about it."
