Throwback to Randhir Kapoor’s confession of not supporting Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s acting career initially

Randhir Kapoor needs no introduction and has been a part of several films ever since he made his debut with ‘Kal Aaj Aur Kal’ in 1971.

Not only commendable actor but he is also a father to Karisma Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who also managed to carved a niche and establish themselves as successful actors in Bollywood.

However, the actor previously opened up about not being supportive of his daughters in the initial phase and didn’t want them to enter the film industry at all. He also shared how his wife Babita Kapoor has been the driving force behind motivating the actresses with their choices.

The actor also admitted that he doesn’t consider acting as a bad profession and he is proud of his daughters. He went on to call himself a ‘bad father’ for not being there to support them initially.

He further said that he isn’t accepting any offers as he has worked enough and also shared that his children are earning more than him.

He said, "I am very proud of my two daughters. They had made
it on their own streak. Yes, the driving force was Babita, I give full credit to their mother but they have worked very hard.”

Randhir added,  "That way I have been a very bad father but then main bawla hoon, everyone knows I am a bit mad. I don't want to work very hard, I don't want to work in many pictures, offers still come, I don't. I have earned in my life, now my kids earn much more than me, so I am content, we have food and clothes and home, we have everything, so what more do I want, why should I run around morning to night at this age?”

On the work front, Karisma most recently appeared in Netflix’s ‘Murder Mubarak’ which released in March 15. Whereas Kareena starred in ‘Crew’ which released on March 29 also featuring Tabu and Kriti Sanon. The film performed well at the box office and also became the highest first opening female lead film.
