Anurag Kashyap never steps away to express his thoughts be it about films, actors or his colleagues. In a recent interview, the filmmaker  spoke about working with Shah Rukh Khan and shared the reason he avoids making a film with the superstar. Citing the reason, the filmmaker revealed that what actually scares him are the fans of the big actors.

Despite being the admirer of Shah Rukh’s work, who ruled last year with back to back releases beginning with Pathaan, blockbuster Jawan and concluding the year with Dunki. Anurag said it’s impossible for him to be working on a film with him.

He said, "In this day and age of social media, I am terrified by the fanbases big stars have. Actors get typecast because of fans, and the fans want the same things from them again and again. If that doesn't happen, fans reject it, so even actors get apprehensive about trying new things. “

Anurag then gave the example of Shah Rukh’s film Fan which failed to received much praise from the audience as it featured the actor in a different role which was not expected by the fans. He further added, "So it's not in my capacity to cater to SRK's aura or enigma. If his film Fan had worked, I could have said that I too have the courage to work with him. “

The filmmaker also admitted that it was easier to work in the beginning of his career as he (Shah Rukh) would also experiment with his roles but now it’s not possible to work with him. Shah Rukh also took a sabbatical from acting before returning with Pathaan. He didn’t star in any film for almost 4 years but ultimately his comeback films did well at the box office and fans are waiting for more projects by the actor.
