Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Mr and Mrs Mahi released in theatres last week after the much anticipation.

Following the story of a couple who find out they both have the same admiration for the game of cricket after their marriage.

Rajkummar’s character sets on a journey to prepare his wife (Janhvi) for the cricket tour.

Fans have already witnessed the duo together in the film Roohi and were much excited about them coming to the screen once again and the makers ensured that the anticipation of the audience gets a fruitful result.

Ever since the film has been out, fans have been continuously praising the performance of the actors and the storyline of the film.

Without a doubt, box office collection is another proof for the same.

After garnering an impressive number of 1.90 crore on Wednesday, the total collection of the film at the domestic box office stands at Rs 23.09 crore. 

The way it has opened and kept on increasing the numbers throughout, the film is expected to get even bigger numbers and stay at for a long time at the theatres. 

This is surely the result of the hardwork by the makers and the actors. Infact Janhvi was completely unaware about the cricket when she stepped in the shoes of her character.

The actress went through intense preparations for her role and also had to work about her body weight in order to meet the required standards of a cricket player. She mentioned about the same in her earlier interviews and her director and the coach also confirmed the same. 

Directed by Sharan Sharma, the film released on May 31 and is currently running in theatres. 

Besides, Janhvi will also star in upcoming Devara: Part 1 which will also feature Saif Ali Khan and Jr.NTR in the lead.
