Maddock Films' Munjya has finally hit the silver screen amid high anticipation. Based in the fictitious town of Chetukwadi, the film tells the story of a creature named Munjya, who is on a hunt for a mysterious woman named Munni. Blending folklore with horror and humour, it makes for a perfect summer vacation watch for families. 

Munjya releases in theatres today. It has opened to positive reviews from critics. Netizens also lauded the film and called it a perfect horror comedy. According to reports, Munjya sold 18,400 tickets till last night. The film is picking up well at the ticket counter and is expected to break records with strong word of mouth. The weekend remains to be crucial as family audience will be heading to theatres. 

Munjya stars Suhas Joshi, Mona Singh, Abhay Verma, Sharvari and Sathyaraj in the lead.
