Kartik Aaryan says mats of his McLaren car were eaten by rats: Had to pay lakhs

Kartik Aaryan is set for his upcoming release ‘Chandu Champion’ where he will portray the role of Murlikant Petkar,  India’s first Paralympic gold medalist. The film is directed by Kabir Khan and will release on June 14. Ever since the announcement of the film, fans have been eager for its release and after the makers unveiled the trailer of the film, the anticipation only rose.

In a recent interview, Kartik recalled being gifted a McLaren car by his producer after the success of his film ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ which released in 2022 and went on to garner massive response from the audience. Sharing about the same, the actor said that he couldn’t drive it for long and narrated an incident of how the car was kept in a garage for a long time which ultimately resulted in rats eating up the mats of the vehicle. The actor also admitted having to spend lakhs of rupees to get it restored.

He said, "I drive  my other car. I have driven hardly driven the McLaren. It was in the garage for a long time so rats chewed the mat, which cost me a lot. I had to pay lakhs of rupees to fix the mat."

Besides ‘Chandu Champion’, Kartik will also star in Anees Bazmee’s upcoming directorial ‘Bhool Bhuliayaa 3’ which will also feature Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan in the lead.
