Farida Jalal is a veteran actress and has been a part of the industry over the decades. In a recent interview, the actress talked about Shah Rukh Khan with whom she has starred in a number of films. Farida recalled an incident when she injured her shoulder and the actor was very supportive. She further added that Shah Rukh went on to call her to cheer her up and said that although the injury will take time it will be fine within a year.
She narrated how he called her, "Farida ji, I have to tell you, yeh jo shoulder surgery hai na. Don't get impatient. It's going to take lots of time to get back that movement.' I was very worried why I was not able to lift my arm up. He phoned me; I felt so good when he called. He said, 'Farida ji, just don't worry, this takes time. After a year, you'll be able to lift your arm well. But it takes time, so don't lose patience', he said".
On the work front, Farida most recently appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’. The series began streaming on Netflix from May 1 and also star Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal, Taha Shah, Pratibha Ranta and Sanjeeda Sheikh. It is set in pre- revolutionary India and the name is inspired from the red- light area in Lahore.
