Kajol's The Trial co-star Noor Malabika Das allegedly dies by suicide, cops perform last rites: Reports

Former air hostess and actress Noor Malabika Das reportedly died by suicide on June 6. She was seen in Kajol's Disney+Hotstar show, The Trial. According to Mid-Day's report, the 37-year-old was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her flat in Lokhandwala.

As per Mid-Day's report, the cops were alarmed after Noor's neighbours reported a foul smell emanating from the flat. The Oshiwara police broke the door to enter the apartment and found her body hanging from the ceiling fan in the bedroom in a decomposed condition. Reportedly, the police seized medicines, her mobile phone and a diary during the search of the house. Mid-Day further reported that the police took Noor's mortal remains to Goregaon’s Siddharth Hospital to conduct a post-mortem.

The police officials reportedly tried getting in touch with her family, however, nobody came forward. Her last rites were performed yesterday with the help of the Mamdani Health and Education Trust NGO, which handles the cremation of unclaimed bodies in the city.

In an official statement to the publication, a police officer said, "We spoke to her family. They had returned to their native place two weeks ago. Investigation is underway."

Noor hailed from Assam and acted in several Hindi films and web series, like Siskiyaan, Walkman, Teekhi Chatni, Jaghanya Upaya, Charamsukh, Dekhi Andekhi, Backrod Hustale and several others.
