Before Khel Khel Mein releases a look at Akshay Kumar’s Independence Day release

Akshay Kumar is gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie titled Khel Khel Mein. Preponing the initial release in September the film is now set to hit theaters on 15th August. The big news has sparked excitement among his fans. Well, Akshay has always believed in entertaining audiences with his ultimate acting skill. Kumar is believed to be a true patriot and for almost a decade he has managed to release a film on or around Independence Day every year. His next film in 2024 is Khel Khel Mein directed by Muddasar Aziz. Ahed of Khel Khel Mein take a look at Akshay Kumar’s Independence Day releases. 

Starting the Independence Day release strategy Akshay Kumar’s first release was Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Dobaara in 2013. The Milan Luthria directorial starring Kumar in a villainous role didn’t work at the box office. His next release was Entertainment on August 8, 2024, and became a hit television post getting down of cinema screens. In 2015 sports drama Brothers hit the big screens. 2016 released Rustom was a hit against Hrithik Roshan’s Mohenjo Daro. Toilet Ek Prem Katha released on 11th August 2017 was positively accepted by the audience. 

Akshay’s sports drama Gold made a patriotic release on 15th August 2018 following another hit of Mission Mangal in 2019. The year 2020 was hit by lockdown hence he missed a release and managed by return in 2021 with Bellbottom on OTT. Raksha Bandhan released on August 11, 2022, was a disaster at the box office. OMG 2 hit theaters again on 11 but in 2023 and received rave reviews. Akshay Kumar’s this year’s  2024 release is Khel Khel Mein. 

Khel Khel Mein stars an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Fardeen Khan, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, and Aditya Seal in leading roles. The film helmed by Mudassar Aziz is produced by produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Simha, and Ajay Rai. The movie is backed by the popular production banner T-Series. The comedy entertainer is set to hit big screens on 15th August.
