Kartik Aaryan is basking in the praise for his latest film, "Chandu Champion," which hit theatres today. The actor shared his emotions in a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday, expressing gratitude for the overwhelming response and admitting that the standing ovation from fans made him "emotional and proud."
In a new video post, Kartik was seen embracing director Kabir Khan inside a packed theatre after the film's screening. The clip shows Kartik attending an audience screening, where he was greeted with cheers and an enthusiastic response at the film's conclusion. The actor, visibly moved, smiled and clapped along with the audience.
Kartik's Instagram caption read: “THIS CHAMPION IS NOW YOURS These claps, these standing ovations are making me so emotional and proud of this entire journey. This movie is more than just a story for me; it’s a journey that changed my perspective about life! I’m so grateful to @kabirkhankk sir and #SajidNadiadwala sir for choosing me to be their champion. It’s my greatest honor to have portrayed the role of a real-life hero. Murlikant sir, I’ll forever be indebted to you.”
He concluded by dedicating the film to all aspiring champions: “Ye movie, har uss Chandu keliye jo Champion banna chahta hai, har uss Chandu keliye jo Champion ban sakta hai (This film is for that Chandu who wants to be a champion, who can become a champion). #ChanduChampion in theatres now!!”
In "Chandu Champion," Kartik Aaryan plays former Indian paralympic gold-medalist Murlikant Petkar. The sports biopic also features Bhuvan Arora, Yashpal Sharma, Vijay Raaz, Aniruddh Dave, Palak Lalwani, and others in pivotal roles. The film was shot in various locations including London, Wai, and Jammu and Kashmir. Co-produced by Sajid Nadiadwala and Kabir Khan, the movie is backed by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Kabir Khan Films.
