Kartik Aaryan is currently basking in the success of his latest release 'Chandu Champion' where he portrayed the role of Murlikant Petkar. The film was directed by Kabir Khan and released on June 14 with a positive response from the audience. Fans have been cheering up for the performance by the actor.
In a recent interview, the actor however said that the numbers of the film won't bother him even if they don't turn out to be massive. Explaining the same, the actor went on to admit that the main factor is that producers benefit from it. Kartik also mentioned that the film is special for him and it goes beyond just getting the numbers. The actor also previously mentioned that he considers ‘Chandu Champion’ to be one of the biggest films of his career.
Kartik had to undergo intense training for the role in the film. In earlier interviews, he mentioned how he would drop all the food items that he liked and would go for intensive training. During it, he lost 18 kgs and his weight turned from 90 kgs to 72 kgs. His trainer also confirmed the same in an earlier interview and lauded the actor for his dedication. Kabir also shared a post on his social media prior to the film's release where he explained about the transformation the actor had to go through.
Besides, Kartik is also shooting for Anees Bazmee's directorial 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3' which stars Triptii Dimri and Vidya Balan alongside the actor. It will be the third installment in the 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' franchise. The previous part welcomed Kartik and has its release in 2022. The film got massive response from the audience and the upcoming sequel has already generated the buzz among many.
