Kartik Aaryan is basking in praise for his latest offering Chandu Champion in which he essayed real-life character of India's first Paralympics gold medallist Murlikant Rajaram Petkar. The film by Kabir Khan has received positive reviews from critics and audiences alike. Several Bollywood celebs also shared their thoughts and appraisals about the biographical sports drama. Veteran actress Shabana Azmi and lyricist Javed Akhtar have recently shared their views about the film produced by Sajid Nadiadwala. 

The film is well-received by moviegoers and continues to attract more attention. Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar attend a private screening of Chandu Champion on Sunday, June 16. As both exited the theater where the private screen was held they were spotted by paparazzi who didn’t lose a chance to take their review. Being approached by paps the couple shared their thought about the Kabir Khan film calling it inspiring. 

Shabana Azmi praised the film saying, “Boht achi hai (It’s very good),” She further continued, “Mai toh ro-ro ke paagal ho gai aur Kartik ka kaam boht acha tha. Kabir ne boht acha kiya. Maine boht dino ke baad Kabir ki film dekhi aur usne pakad ke rakha second half pe bhi. (I couldn’t stop crying while watching the film and Kartil did a wonderful job. Kabir Khan (director) did a fantastic job. It’s been long that I have watched any of Kabir’s movie. The story kept us engaged even in the second half.)”

Javed Akhtar nodded agreeing with his wife's statement that the film is an inspiring story. She further added, “The makers have done a huge favour by bringing such a great story to light after 50 years. Even Murlikant Petkar got teary eyes upon watching the film made on him.” Moviegoers have been flocking in large numbers since the first day of its release. Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment produced film is raising box office numbers for its compelling narrative and powerful performance.
