Dinesh Karthik recently talked about the sports biopics on Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan and emphasized that Ranbir Kapoor would be a perfect fit to portray Virat whereas Akshay Kumar will fit in the role of Shikhar if the biopic is made. There have been several biopics made on sports personalities over time in Bollywood and have also managed to receive thumbs up from the audience. Whether it was ‘Mary Kom’ portrayed by Priyanka Chopra or Sushant Singh Rajput’s portrayal of MS Dhoni in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’.

Dinesh mentioned, "Ranbir Kapoor will do a good job,” when he was asked to choose the person for portraying Virat. On being asked about Shikhar, Dinesh took the name of Akshay and said, "It will be a lot of fun.” He was further asked to name the actor for portraying Hardik Pandya to which he replied, “Ranveer Singh.” On being asked about Yuzvendra Chahal, he took the name of Rajpal Yadav. He concluded by expressing his admiration for the actor Vijay Sethupathi, saying that he will be perfect to portray Rohit Sharma. 

He added, "I think he has great comic sense but he can be serious as well. So, I think he'll suit the role perfectly.” At the last he was asked whom he would consider to portray him if the biopic is ever made to which he responded with the name of Vikrant Massey and also shared that a lot of people tell him that they look similar. Vikrant most recently appeared in ‘12th Fail’ and film was a massive success. It’s run in the theatres stretched over months even after the films OTT release.
