Amitabh Bachchan praises 'Kalki 2898 AD' as a groundbreaking experience at Mumbai pre-release event

The pre-release event for the highly anticipated film 'Kalki 2898 AD' was held in Mumbai, creating a buzz among fans and the film industry alike. The event featured legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan, who shared his excitement and insights about working on this ambitious project directed by Nag Ashwin.

Starring Prabhas, 'Kalki 2898 AD' has already generated significant hype, with the filmmakers ensuring no stone is left unturned in maintaining the momentum. During the event, Amitabh Bachchan expressed his honor and enthusiasm for being part of the film. “It's a great honor to work in this film. Describing the film as “a little ahead of its time,” Bachchan reflected on the unique vision presented by director Nag Ashwin. “When Nagi explained the idea, for a long time after he left, I was thinking what the hell Nagi is thinking,” he said, highlighting the innovative and forward-thinking nature of the project. “For me to just be a part of it is an experience I will never forget,” he concluded.

'Kalki 2898 AD' is set in a futuristic, abandoned society and revolves around the mystical Kalki, the tenth and final incarnation of the Hindu deity Lord Vishnu. The film boasts a star-studded cast including Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan. Supporting roles are played by Rajendra Prasad, Pasupathy, Saswata Chatterjee, Anna Ben, Chemban Vinod Jose, and Brahmanandam.

The soundtrack for the sci-fi thriller is composed by Santhosh Narayanan, with C. Aswini Dutt’s Vyjayanthi Movies backing the production. 'Kalki 2898 AD' is set to hit theaters on June 27, 2024, promising a groundbreaking cinematic experience.
