The rumors of Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal’s wedding have been all over the headlines ever since the reports of their upcoming wedding emerged. The couple is alleged to start a new chapter of their life on 23rd June. As the date nears recently, reports suggested that actor turned politician and father of the bride, Shatrugan Sinha won’t attend his daughter’s wedding. It also surfaced on the internet that her brother and mother had unfollowed the actress on Instagram ahead of the special day Recently, the father of the actress, Shatrughan Sinha was asked if he wouldn’t be attending her wedding to which he responded with the opposite question of why won’t he. 

Initially, the actress denied commenting on the report, post which the questions were put to her brother and father, whereas her brother denied to comment on the same and said it would be better to ask Sonakshi about the same. Shatrughan said that he is not aware of the wedding and only knows as much as has been revealed by the media. He also mentioned that nowadays children don’t think about obtaining consent for anything which speculated the rumours that he isn’t going to attend the big day. 

He said, "I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn't I and why won't l?”
He added, “Sonakshi and Zaheer have to live life together. They look very nice together." The actor continued, "Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It's just the life of my only daughter Sonakshi, whom I am very proud of and immensely fond of. She calls me the pillar of her strength. The very fact that I have still been in Mumbai conveys that I am here not only as her pillar of strength but as her real kavach (armour) as well. Her happiness is my happiness and vice versa. She has every right to choose her partner and the other details of her wedding.”

The rumours of the wedding got more fuel after Zaheer recently shared an Instagram story partying with his ‘boy gang’. One of his friends also shared a story alongside the actor with a caption saying that the actor is getting married. Meanwhile, Sonakshi also shared a story of partying with her friends. Sonakshi and Zaheer met during the shooting of the film ‘Double XL’ which starred both of them. Since then there have been rumours of the couple dating, however, both remained silent on the matter but have often been spotted together.
