Rimi Sen recently took the fraud money case higher as she approached the Bombay High Court for the same. She earlier filed a case against her friend Raunak Jatin Vyas, for cheating on her with the amount of Rs 4.14 crore back in 2022. In a recent interview, the actress shared why the cast took so long.
Rimi said that her file got lost amidst the relocation of Khar Police
Station. After getting the signatures of few officers, she had to restart the process once again right from filing an FIR. She further added that the case has been transferred to CID Unit no
9, under the supervision of Police Officer Daya Nayak.
Her complaint stated that she met the accused three years back in the gym and both soon became friends. The accused initially introduced himself as a wealthy businessman and also said that he recently opened the company named LED lights. Following, he decided to fraud the actress and offered her to be the investor in the company for a return of 40 percent. After the discussion, the draft was filed for the same.
Once the deadline was over, Rimi began to ask for the return of her investment however there was no response from Jatin and he also began to avoid picking up her calls. She later found out that there was no such business and she was cheated by him after which she filed the complaint at the police station. Her complaint was registered under the sections 406 - Punishment for criminal
breach of trust and 420 - Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property.
Rimi has been a part of films like Baghban, Dhoom, Garam Masala, Kyon Ki, Phir Hera Pheri, and Golmaal and is also a producer. She also appeared in reality show Bigg Boss 15 hosted by Salman Khan.
