Bigg Boss OTT 3 host Anil Kapoor sheds light on Bollywood stars fee hike: ‘I should get what I deserve’

Anil Kapoor is gearing up to host Bigg Boss OTT season 3 which is set to premiere on June 21st  at 9 pm on JioCinema. In anticipation of his new role, the veteran actor shared his views on the rising prices and exorbitant star fees in the Hindi film industry during an interview with India Today.

Discussing salary scale, Anil emphasizes the importance of realism in fee negotiation. “I think we should be realistic. It's very necessary now. The reason I have had such a long career is because I have always been very realistic about it,” he stated. Also added, “Most of the time, I always step into the producers' shoes while quoting fees. Of course, I don't want people to take me for granted. I should get what I deserve. But I have survived so long because I understand these things and have always been conscious about it.”

Bigg Boss OTT 3 marks Anil's debut as a reality show host on a streaming platform. Previously, Karan Johar and Salman Khan hosted the first two seasons, respectively. The upcoming season is set to feature contestants Harshad Chopra, Shehzada Dhami, Chesta Bhagat, Nikhil Mehta, Vishal Pandey, and Chandrika Dixit. The previous season’s winner, Elvish Yadav, took home a cash prize of 25 lakh.

He made his Bollywood debut in 'Hamare Tumhare' in 1979 and gained prominence with films such as 'Woh Saat Din,' 'Jaanbaz,' 'Mr. India,' 'Tezaab,' and 'Ram Lakhan.' Recently, he appeared in 'Animal' alongside Ranbir Kapoor, and in 'Fighter' with Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone.

Fans eagerly await Anil Kapoor’s hosting debut on Bigg Boss OTT 3, expecting his charismatic presence to add a new dimension to the popular reality show.
