Producer Vashu Bhagnani on reports of selling his office: It hasn't been sold to anyone

Over the last few days, there have been several reports claiming that the producer Vashu Bhagnani has sold off his Pooja Entertainment office. The reports also claimed that the step was taken after there were several claims of non-payment from the producer. Some also mentioned that he had reduced the number of his employees by 80 percent.

However, in a recent interview, Vashu dismissed the rumours by stating that the office space still belongs to him and he is set to bound back with the bigger projects soon. He said, "The building (office space) that people are talking about hasn't been sold to anyone, it belongs to me even now." He further added, "Nobody is running away. Please come to my office, talk to us, give us your documents, and give us 60 days to figure things out. I am not going to buckle under any pressure or blackmail. If they owe someone money, then people should reach out to them  directly.”

The previous reports mentioned that the producer has been in debt of Rs 250 crore following which he has no option but to sell off his office where the luxury building would be constructed instead. The year has been unpredictable and whereas some films have done well at the box office, there have been several projects that couldn’t do well despite having big stars in them.

Ever since there have also been several debates on the exaggerating production cost and especially the fees of the actors who tend to overcharge. Many have come up expressing their views on the same including Kriti Sanon, Farah Khan, Kartik Aaryan, and others. Subsequently, the latest project produced by Pooja Entertainment didn’t do well at the box office and didn’t meet the expectations of the makers despite having a huge budget for the same.
