Kill production designer Mayur Sharma reveals making of the ‘Main Character’ the Train

The much-awaited action thriller "Kill," described as India's most intense film, guarantees an unending stream of bloodshed, intense action, and brutal violence. The movie revolves around a group of unsuspecting train passengers who suddenly face off against more than 40 merciless bandits. The film stars promising actors Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala however, the main character of the film is the Train, where it has been entirely shot. The film has an entire action sequence shot in a train that is technically designed to make it look real. Kill production designer Mayur Sharma created a setup train giving a feel and realistic experience to the viewers.

Talking about high-octane action sequences in the film, producer Guneet Monga said, “The idea was to do a train robbery nonstop in a confined place.” Director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt shared that because it's an action film, he wanted to shoot from all sides and it wouldn’t have been possible if he had to shoot on a real train. The production designer shares the process of making a real train from scratch for Karan Johar and Guneet Monga's produced film. He asserted that making a train for shoot was a challenge for him as he said “I built dams, mandirs, palaces but not train.”

Giving a sneak peek into the making of the train, Mayur Sharma says 80% of Indian people travel by train so they are aware of what it looks like hence you can cheat people by faking the train. Adding to it director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt revealed entire set was made of the actual material which is used for the train. Mayur said, “The important part is how every piece of the train can move to serve the purpose of the shot.” The makers went into meticulous work to deliver the real essence and keep the aesthetics of the Indian train.
