Sharib Hashmi shares heartwarming then vs now photos with Aamir Khan on Instagram

Sharib Hashmi, best known for his role in the series ‘The Family Man’ alongside Manoj Bajpayee, has delighted fans with a nostalgic Instagram post. On June 25, Hashmi shared a series of photos featuring himself and Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, showcasing a touching "then vs now" comparison.

The first image is a cherished throwback from Hashmi's childhood, capturing a moment with his late father, Z.A. Johar, a noted film journalist, and a young Aamir Khan. This picture is believed to have been taken on the set of Aamir’s debut film, ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. The second photo shows the two actors in the present day, both sporting glasses and sharing warm smiles for the camera.

In his heartfelt caption, Sharib expressed his emotions: "Kya Kahun Mera Jo Haal Hai...Speechless moment...Kaash ‘Now’ waale pic mein mere Papa bhi hote @aamirkhanproductions #AamirKhan #FanBoy #ZAJohar #Papa." The post has resonated with fans and celebrities alike, with film journalist Jitesh Pillai, director Tahira Kashyap, and actress Shreya Dhanwanthary all leaving heart emojis in the comments.

One Instagram user poignantly commented, "The most beautiful things are not associated with money; they are memories and moments." Another added, "He is still with you. Superb pic."

In a candid interview with Bollywood Now last year, Sharib Hashmi recounted his emotional journey of being rejected for a role in Aamir Khan's production, ‘Dhobi Ghat’. Recommended by Namit Das, Hashmi went through four rounds of auditions and was initially selected by director Kiran Rao. However, he was ultimately deemed unsuitable for the role based on his looks. "That rejection shook me and I cried a lot that night. I was devastated," he shared.

Beyond his memorable performance in ‘The Family Man’, Sharib Hashmi has also appeared in the film Tarla alongside Huma Qureshi, and in acclaimed series like Scam 1992 and Asur.
