In a resurfaced interview clip from 2019, veteran screenwriter Salim Khan candidly addressed his son Salman Khan's perennially single status, shedding light on why the Bollywood superstar has never taken his romantic relationships to the next level. Speaking with Komal Nahta, Salim Khan remarked in Hindi, "He easily enters into relationships, but he lacks the courage to get married. He has a very simple nature and gets attracted easily. However, he always wonders whether the woman can manage a family like his mother does."
Salim Khan emphasized that Salman desires a partner dedicated to family life, similar to his late mother, who he described as a pillar of support in household matters. "He wants the woman he marries to be dedicated to her husband and children, just like his mother was. She should cook meals for the children, help them get ready, and ensure their homework is done. However, this is not easy in today’s times," he added, highlighting the challenges of balancing personal and professional lives.
The interview clip sparked reactions on social media, with some users criticizing Salman's stance on marriage and traditional family roles.
