Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on June 23 in the presence of several Bollywood celebrities. The pictures from their wedding are all over the internet and fans have been showering the duo with admiration and wishes. Now, Karan Johar has expressed his thoughts on Sonakshi’s wedding and called her the ‘coolest bride’. The filmmaker also referred to the couple as ‘gorgeous’. 

As he interacted with his fans in a recent Instagram session he said, "You know what I loved about
Sonakshi was that she was the coolest bride. She was cool. Zaheer and Sonakshi looked lovely. They looked happy, they looked gorgeous.” He further added, that the wedding was simple and fun and there was nothing extra in it. He concluded, “And there were no frills and fancies, it was just pure love and fun. And that's what I loved about their wedding. And I loved the way she looked. So much love for her."

Sonakshi and Zaheer have dated each other for seven years but have never admitted their relationship in public despite several outings during which they were often spotted by the shutterbugs. The duo also worked together in ‘Double XL’ which released in 2022. Even after the rumours of their wedding surfaced both have remained silent on the matter but their Instagram posts did add fuel to the same. After making it official, both have shared wedding pictures on their respective social media handles as they embarked on the new journey in their lives. Salman Khan, Kajol, Madhuri Dixit, Aditi Rao Hydari and Sharmin Segal are some names from the attendees of the ceremony. 

On the work front, Sonakshi most recently starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s debut web series ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ which also featured Manisha Koirala, Richa Chadha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sharmin Segal and Sanjeeda Sheikh. The actress also appeared in ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ which starred Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Manushi Chhillar and Alaya F in the lead.
