Shatrughan Sinha hospitalized post Sonakshi's wedding: Luv Sinha clarifies health concerns

Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha's health became a topic of concern shortly after his daughter, Sonakshi Sinha's wedding to Zaheer Iqbal. Addressing the rumors and clarifying his father's condition, Luv Sinha took to X (formerly Twitter) on Monday to update fans and well-wishers.

Luv Sinha assured that his father did not undergo any surgical procedures. "In regard to my father’s health, I’d like to clarify that there was no surgical procedure, and one shouldn’t believe unverified news. We took my father to the hospital for his annual checkup, and because he had a strong fever. Thank you to everyone who has been concerned," Luv tweeted.

Shatrughan Sinha was taken to a medical facility in Mumbai last week for his routine annual check-up and to address a severe fever. Luv further dispelled rumors about any surgery in a message to PTI, stating, "My father had a strong fever and we decided to take him to the hospital so that he could recover and we could have his yearly tests done as well. I have been going there every day, so can tell you that there was no surgical procedure."

The newlyweds, Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal were also seen exiting the hospital on Friday, further highlighting the family's united front during this time.

This month has been particularly eventful for the Sinha family. Shatrughan Sinha emerged victorious from West Bengal's Asansol constituency for his party, TMC, in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. This triumph was followed by the wedding of his daughter, Sonakshi, to her longtime partner, Zaheer Iqbal, on June 23rd. Shatrughan Sinha, renowned for his work in 1970s and 1980s films such as 'Mere Apne,' 'Kalicharan,' 'Vishwanath,' 'Kaala Patthar,' and 'Dostana,' continues to be a prominent figure in both the entertainment and political arenas.
