Yash’s upcoming film ‘Toxic’ to be set at 50s and 70s era

 

Yash needs no introduction and has a massive fan base all over the nation. The fans have been eagerly anticipating for the upcoming film of the actor ‘Toxic’ which also features ‘Jawan’ star Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Shruti Haasan and Kiara Advani in the lead. Ever since the initial announcement, the fans have been anticipating for the updates about the project however the makers have sided from revealing much information. Now, the latest reports suggest that the film will be set in 50’s and 70’s era and the action oriented film  will be set again the backdrop of drug mafia. 

The source in one of the entertainment websites have been quoted mentioning, "The film is set between the 1950s and 1970s.”
Further adding, “An entire world of Toxic has been created a larger- than-life version of that era, yet very authentic. The set is situated on the outskirts of Bangalore, and the level of detail is something that will blow the audience's mind."

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film was announced in the month of December last year and is staled to release on April 10 in 2025. Earlier there were also reports of Kareena Kapoor Khan being a part of the film however later it was clarified that she is not. The actress also shared a cryptic post amidst the rumours which hinted that she was being underpay. She shared an Instagram story where she mentioned about preferring to avoids the projects if she doesn’t get paid enough and although she didn’t mentioned any name of the actors or a project, fans speculated that the actress was talking about the Yash starrer. 

The name of Sai Pallavi, who is currently shooting with Ranbir Kapoor for Nitesh Tiwari’s directorial ‘Ramayan’ was also attached but she was later replaced by Shruti in the project. As mentioned in the reports, the actress will portray the love interest of Yash in the film.
