The filmmaker Hansal Mehta recently reacted on the Ravi Kishan’s latest comment where he spoke about Rahul Gandhi pointing out about his recent speech.
Hansal, took to his ‘X’ handle and retweeted on the post which featured Ravi speaking in an interview. Hansal wrote, "Alelelelelele munna..."
Earlier, Ravi said, "It was very unfortunate.…. He was throwing and picking up Shiv Ji's image on and from his desk. It was unfortunate that he was using God in his debate. His speech showed immaturity and it seemed as if he came to the house only for provocation…. This building has a history of hosting decent leaders who spoke with respect, but today all that was compromised.."
This remark was made after Rahul made a comment over the BJP leaders and highlighted that they are not “pure Hindus” as they indulge in the violence. After his remark, Narendra Modi also spoke on it and mentioned that the entire Hindu community has been referred to as “violent” by Rahul.
On the work front, Ravi most recently appeared in Kiran Rao’s directorial ‘Laapataa Ladies’ which released on March 1 and is currently streaming on Netflix. Set in the rural background, it follows the story of two lost brides in the train.
The film has received massive praise from the audience and also marked the debut of actress Pratibha Ranta, who later featured in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’.
On the other side, Hansal’s upcoming directorial includes ‘The Buckingham Murders’ which is slated to release on September 13 and stars Kareena Kapoor Khan in the lead, who is also producing the film. It was previously screened at the film festivals and received thumbs up from the audience. Kareena previous starred in ‘Crew’ alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon.
