Kill is billed as India’s most violent movie ever set to release on July 2, 2024. Written and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat the film stars fresh faces Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, and Tanya Maniktala is the most goriest and violent film ever to be made in Indian cinema. Kill is said to be inspired by real-life train robberies in India by a class of criminals dubbed as dacoits. Produced by Dharma Production and Sikhya Entertainment the film takes the audience on the bloodiest ride. Nikhil Nagesh Bhat seems to be pushing the boundaries of cinema with his new project. He has created a film that offers a cinematic experience unlike anything previously seen by Indian audiences.
A real-life attack on a train journey experienced by the director gave birth to the idea of making Kill. Sharing an anecdote Bhat once revealed that this latest action-packed film is roused from an incident that occurred on a train journey he took back in 1994. He used to travel from Pune to Patna through Bombay Janta Express in sleeper class, during one such journey back in 1994-95, he was asleep and when Allahabad station was about to come the train was halted at a small station where dacoits boarded the train. While he was sleeping one of the AC class was being robbed. He shared the coach with soldiers from Danapur who said that had the dacoits attempted to rob their coach they would have shown it to them. This incident stayed with Nikhil Nagesh Bhat for a lifetime.
Nikhil Nagesh Bhat penned down this adrenaline-pumping actioner during COVID. During that phase, he felt relentless, claustrophobic, and rage and happened to put everything on paper. This really helped him gather emotions and put them down. He claims it was a good disguise. Kill, directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta under Dharma Productions, and Guneet Monga Kapoor and Achin Jain under Sikhya Entertainment, is set to hit theaters on July 5, 2024.
