Kabir Khan who is basking in praise for Kartik Aaryan starrer Chandu Champion breaks silence on joining forces with Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in his next project. Earlier this year there were reports that the filmmaker would once again collaborate with the duo for Babbar Sher after Ek Tha Tiger. Reports were rife that they would start working on the film post the release of Chandu Champion after their discussions that took place at the end of 2023. However, no developments were seen and now it seems the stories will not come true anytime soon.

Kabir Khan refuted media reports claiming he is not in talks with Salman and clarified he would only reunite with Katrina Kaif putting forth a condition. Putting a full stop on all speculation, the filmmaker confirmed Babbar Sher is not happening. He was quoted, “These are all conjectures in the market (laughs). There’s no Babbar Sher right now.” Babbar Sher is billed as Kabir Khan’s most ambitious project. Learning about the news fans were excited to witness another collaboration of Bhaijaan, Merry Christmas star, and Ek Tha Tiger director. However, they will have to wait more until there is an official announcement.

Talking about his condition on working with Katrina Kaif he said, “Katrina is somebody I’ve collaborated with on many films. I would love to work with her again. But it’s all about the script and creating material that’s good enough for me to take to her. Only if I’m excited about it will she be excited about it. Whenever that happens, I would love to reunite with her. There’s absolutely no doubt that if there’s suitable material, we’ll surely work again.”

On the work front, Kabir’s last movie Chandu Champion is running successfully receiving positive word of mouth. The director was all praise for the star Kartik Aaryan who essayed the biographical role of India’s first Paralympics gold medalist swimmer Murlikant Petkar. He said, “The hard work an actor puts into a film is very apparent, you can’t fake that. As a director, I speak to so many of my fellow directors and they all reacted to the hard work that Kartik has put in. He went into it with so much conviction and cut himself off from everything except for the world of Chandu Champion.”
